Career in Cloud Based Technology | Cloud Based Service Provider

Let's take an example to understand cloud-based technology, imagine you are the owner of small software development company or firm with small team size, limited resources and you want to scale up your business. Then the possible ways are, the first way is that you can invest on your premise server storage, data security, hiring of new resources for maintenance which will be expensive and once it is scaled up then it cannot be scaled down right and the other way and most effective way is that you can go for cloud based technology where all your scale up activity will be taken care by cloud based service provider such as AWS, Microsoft Azure etc., however if you need their services you can pay for it and if you don't, you can back out those services.

In this article you will be getting brief on below points:

1. Cloud based Technology:
2. Types of cloud-based service model
3. Top cloud-based service providers
4. Career scope in Cloud-based technologies

What is Cloud Computing and different types of cloud-based service model?

It is the use of remote servers on the internet to store manage and process data rather than of local server. Means instead of buying own server, own resources, maintaining own servers and resources. Rent server for required time scale up and scale down as per your requirement and do payment of the same to cloud service providers.

There are two types of Cloud computing model.

1. Deployment Model
2. Service Model

Deployment Model: There are three deployment models

Public Cloud:

As the name says that it is open to all, resources, processing element, memory resources and other IT resources has been shared by multiple users as it is deployed globally. So, because of this security and privacy is less, and you will get less customization comparatively to other deployment clouds models. This model is cost efficient in comparison to other clouds.

Private Cloud:

In private cloud all IT resources, machines, servers etc. are booked. Means it will only be used by specific organization or authorized organization. It is deployed locally.

Hybrid Cloud:

This cloud model is the combination of public cloud and private cloud. For critical activities (where security is required and risk is more) customer can use private cloud and for normal activity customer can use public cloud. In this customer get an option to use the resources and as per their business model and criticality. This is model cost-efficient model.

Service Model:

There are three types of Service Model

1. IAAS (Infrastructure as a Service)
2. PAAS (Platform as a Service)
3. SAAS (Software as a Service)

We will talk about these two models with examples in details in other articles.

What are the Benefits of cloud-based Technology?

I believe above example already given you the understanding of benefits of cloud services. Which says instead of buying own server, own resources, maintaining own servers and resources. Rent the servers from cloud service providers for required time, scale up and scale down as per your requirement and do payment of the same to cloud service providers. So basically, using cloud-based services reduced the investment and increased the scalability. As because of this customer has the flexibility to scale up and scale down the services as per their requirement and most importantly this cloud-based services provides reliability and availability of the resources 24*7.
